The medical sonography curriculum prepares the graduate to be a Sonographer, a skilled medical professional who uses high frequency sound waves to image the body.
Course work includes clinical rotations to area health care facilities, cross-sectional anatomy, sonography physics, along with abdomen, pelvic, vascular, and obstetric sonography.
Graduates are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists' sonography exam. Sonographers can find employment in clinics, physician's offices, mobile services, hospitals, and educational institutions.
Applicants must be a registered Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible by having successfully completed an accredited radiography program within the last two years. Applicant must become registered in radiography in order to sit for the sonography registry exam to become a registered Sonographer.

This program is a post-Graduate program for students who have completed a minimum of an Associates Degree in an accredited Radiography Program and hold a current ARRT certification. The curriculum is a sequenced 16-month, daytime only, diploma program. We also offer a diploma and an Associates Degree option. We accept 10 students every Fall. Application deadline is June 1.
Cardiovascular Sonography includes Adult Echocardiography, cerebrovascular, and peripheral vascular sonography. This program is a post-Graduate program for students who have completed a minimum of an Associates Degree in an accredited Radiography Program, Respiratory Therapy Program, Paramedic Program, Nursing Program, or Physical Therapy Program. The applicant must hold a current certification in their health specialty. The curriculum is a sequenced 16-month, daytime only, diploma program. We also offer a diploma and an Associates Degree option. We accept 10 students every Fall. Application deadline is June 1.
