Fall Symposium 2010 set for October 30th

The NCUS is proud to host a mini-symposium that will present a focused analysis of the most current information available in each of the topics presented. It will provide a forum to build practical knowledge and application for all levels of sonographers from beginning to advanced. The NCUS has applied for up to 7 CME credit hours from the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. The participant will receive credit only for those hours actually spent in the educational activity.

Sonographic Evaluation of Ovarian Vein Thrombosis

Ovarian vein thrombosis (OVT) is a rare condition typically seen in postpartum patients. Presented here however, is an extremely rare case of bilateral ovarian vein thrombosis diagnosed by ultrasound in a pregnant fifteen year old patient.This case illustrates the important role ultrasound has in the early diagnosis and treatment of ovarian vein thrombosis.
